虐待対策（ SCAN ）チームの活動報告

Abstract

虐待（疑いを含む）被害者を発見した際には，医療従事者に求められる責務を果たす必要がある．平成26 年7 月に虐待対策 （ suspected child abuse & neglect：SCAN ）チームが発足し，実績を重ねてきた．発足4 年が経過し，被虐待者の発見に係わ る精度向上と被虐待者救助の質的向上を図るために，新たな活動に取り組み始めている． SCAN チームの使命は，虐待の可能性をピックアップできる仕組みをさらに整え，医療機関で働くスタッフが虐待の可能性 を見抜く力を養うことである．そして，児童相談所など行政への通告は，子どもや高齢者など弱者を守りその家族を支援する 第一歩であるという啓蒙活動をさらに進めていくことであると考える．

When we find a victim (including suspected victim) of abuse, we are obligated to act as a medical professional. The Suspected Child Abuse and Neglect (SCAN) team was established in July 2019 and has been producing results. A new approach was started to improve the accuracy of finding victims of abuse and supporting their rescue. The mission of SCAN is to prepare the structure of finding any possibility of abuse, and to improve the ability of the staff at medical facilities to find victims of abuse. It is important to increase the awareness that reporting the incidences to child support centers and to the administrative organizations is the first step to protect the socially disadvantaged people including children and elderly citizens and to support their families.
