クライエントの自己決定を尊重し支援する精神科ソーシャルワーカーの視点

Abstract

精神科ソーシャルワーカー（ psychiatric social worker：PSW ）は，社会福祉学を学問的基盤とし，クライエントの「生活」 に視点を置く精神保健領域における福祉専門職である．その支援原則として「自己決定の尊重」があり，早期の介入と支援展 開が期待される医療機関においても，クライエントが選択し決定するその過程が尊重され支援されるべきである．今回，症例 を通してPSW の視点とその業務概要を紹介する．

A psychiatric social worker (PSW) has education in social welfare and is a specialist in mental health with focus on the client , s daily life．The principle of the worker supporting the client is “ respecting the client , s self-determination”． Even in a medical institution expected to provide early intervention and support，the decision-making process of the client should be respected． Is this report，we will explain the object of the PSW and outline of the work along with the cases we experienced．
